AMD or INTEL for VAM?

Does the game prefer AMD or Intel?
I run an i9 9900k right now and the VR performance is not very good in busy scenes..
I want to upgrade anyway and I´m not quite sure if I should go with Intel 12 gen (12900k), current Ryzen (5950x) or wait for next gen Ryzen.

Right now the 5800X3D is the best you can get for VaM. But AM4 is dead. If you wait for AM5 you'll get better performance of course, but it will only support DDR5.

There's no preference by VaM, you have to look out for single core performance.
