Hi Everyone!
You may notice a change in the resource creation forms for Free categories. We have removed the "External Link" option.
Beginning today, all resources in the Free categories must have a valid resource uploaded to the Hub. Free resources that link to a Patreon post, mega link, drive, or other external hosting option will no longer be permitted.
The "Guides" and "Other" section will still allow you to select "Does not have a file", however some resources in "Other" which are intended to be loaded as content in VaM will still be subject to the new requirement.
Of course you can still add your Patreon or other subscription or donation page as a "support me" link. This change only affects the "resource type" option which previously allowed creators to select between uploading a file or simply including an external link.
There will be a grace period of at least 1 month for existing resources. After which, sometime in the beginning of the new year we may begin unpublishing Free resources that do not have a var attached.
Over the coming weeks, we will be announcing some additional changes that will give creators more ways to showcase their Paid content and their subscriber pages. We hope that these upcoming changes will reflect our support of Paid creators and help to offset any concerns over any perceived limitations in visibility due to this policy change.
