138 Everyday Pose Presets

Walk-Cycle Pose Presets - The beginning of a bigger package? Unsure.

Forgive me if this is a waste of space here, but I've been toying around with trying to create a decent looking walk animation from scratch using Timeline so to the best of my ability I created 4 main keyframe pose presets as a quick alternative to motion capture. Not 100% sold on the results... but it's a start.

@VikLamant Hello! These poses look very natural, but I have a few comments.

• The poses are not super useful by themselves, can you include timeline animations (or person plugin presets with the timeline animations), and a simple demo scene?
• Can you adjust the poses/animations so they work well with standard size females and floor at 0y location?

Hey, this actually looks pretty good and I think it could be useful. I know I've tried making walking animations before and it's always coming out looking super wonky, but yours looks good!

How exactly would I be able to use these poses though? Would I have to create a timeline animation then add each animation preset into the timeline? Any chance you could also include your timeline animation in the download, to make it easier for people to use?

Version 2 w/Timeline Walk Example using Basic Person Atom

By request - I threw this scene together real quick demonstrating the 4 Walk-Cycle Pose Presets with basic Atom-> Person.

Observations:
1) Seems the height difference between my model and basic does cause more of a jarring hip action in the walk.
2) Had to elevate to .60 off ground so toes would not drag.
3) Had to slow down animation to have the model walk as designed.

The update (attachment image) is just a preview of what is in the new VAR that you need to re-download.

I just verified that the .json (saved scene file) is in the new VAR.

Transition to: M-F Everyday Pose Presets

This VAR is replacing the Walk Cycle Pose Presets.
The old presets are still included in this new format under Masculine - Walk - Basic

The first batch includes:
Masculine Pose Presets: x33 <--- includes the 4 Basic Walk Cycle Poses
Feminine Pose Presets: x27
Total Pose Presets: x60

Probably going to be a week before the next batch.

Thinking of moving Props to their own Primary Category per sex to make it easier to find anything associated with the particular Prop.

Meaning: Masculine ---> Luggage ---> Stand/Walk/etc
Feminine ---> Remote Control ----> Stand/Walk/Sit/etc

Thoughts?

Okay, so definitely going to have the folders & subfolders streamlined to be more fluid.

Next update will have the following main categories:
Stand / Walk / Sit / Props

Pose Presets previously labeled "Listen" will be renamed to "Idle"

VikLamant updated 118 Everyday Pose Presets with a new update entry:

Reformatted for Simplicity +6 Female Stand Poses

As updated on the main page, I have created a Props Primary Subfolder after Masculine/Feminine.
Props Poses have 2 Subfolders as before.

Non-Props Poses have been reduced to 1 Subfolder

Also have renamed and moved previous "Listen" Poses to "Idle" Poses under the Stand Primary Subfolder
Whether Standing, Walking, Sitting, or whatever... Poses will be either "Talk" or "Idle" as it relates to conversations.

Of course, you can make your characters "Talk" while "Idle" on your end... "Talk"...

Fixed:
Feminine ---> Props ---> Remote Control ---> Sit ---> Couch ---> Up-Down (Atom was rotated the wrong way in accordance to the other poses in the set)

What's New in Ver 4?

So, biggest change is that I decided to clothe the M & F to match the theme of "Everyday"... figuring they shouldn't be in underwear until "Naughty Time".
Other change is that I streamlined what I planned to be "conversation" poses with feet in same place to have the feet... well... be in the same place better (thanks Timeline).

Curious what people have downloaded this set so far Like/Dislike about the poses up to this point because what I'm basically doing is sharing the most 'bare-bones' simplified versions of Poses I'm using in a project.

I've tried a few of the Walk poses in Timeline and they seem to function fine with minor tweaking between Pose Presets, and the same goes for the new Chat presets.

Do you feel some of the poses feel unnatural?
Are more variations of Chat poses wanted in sets?
Are you trying the Presets out in Timeline and having issues?

Basically any general feedback helps. Thanks in advance.
