Hi Guest!
We have posted a new VaM2 dev log on Patreon, starting a monthly cadence of written progress updates between Beta releases. Highlights include the new Gizmos System, Selection Carousel, and Modes System with Context-Specific Editing. Beta1.2 is 15 of 21 items complete.
Thanks Origin06. Will look into it. It sounds more complex than i'd hoped it to be, but hey, maybe it will work, and maybe i can get a good work flow and be able to implement it to other things.
Hey everyone!
I was wondering if there is a way to use InvokeAI to create face textures for VAM. Unfortunately, I haven’t found a properly trained model to create textures out of nothing, but with a little guidance, we can already create pretty good looking textures with AI.
First, you’ll need...
I found some blender models ported from Nyl2. They are freely available at the link below. Maybe someone can port those over toVAM. Jaheira should be in there. Would LOVE a VaM model of her

Vam only uses Genesis2 models from Daz3d, which is what all the morphs work on. You can import pretty much anything as a custom unity asset, but you wouldn't be able to use it like a person atom in vam.
If you have a model of yourself in a t pose, you can use that as a reference and make a...
Wondering if anyone can offer some guidance on the process of importing heels into vam and using Stoppers Clothing Rewrapper for the finish touch. I have some heels in FBX format but I am unsure what I need to do in blenderto get them to fit the VAM base fbx model.
Daz is recommended because the mesh and rigging of vam is based on it. You really can't just use any 3d model and expect to get all the animation, posing, clothing, hair, etc. There are advanced methods to transfer the characteristics of a model onto a Daz g2f character, but it's pretty complex
That's strange. Im using the current version of Blender (v3.3.0), and VAM 1.20.77.9 (tthough I don't think that export option in VAM changed), SP is
Substance 3D Painter, version 8.1.3 Build 1860 .
This is what it looks like for me, after loading the blendfile, then importing the OBJ. Next...
There is this good guide from YameteOuji https://hub.virtamate.com/resources/t-shirt-guide.953/ .
I started with modeling clothes 3 weeks ago and work only with the free 3D software blender (free). You need DAZ 3D (free) too to get your 3D model toVAM. Additional some skills in 2D grafiks are...
Vam does not utilize the rigs of clothing items at all. bones will be ignored in vam, and in turn, weight painting. Your best bet is to just import a underwear as normal, and simaround where the penis tip touches the underwear and have that tip portion unsimmed if you prefer it did not pop out...
Yes, ZBrush works great, too. I use the "send to ZBrush" function all the time (only works with newer ZBrush versions, otherwise you have to manually export/import the mesh by hand, which is only some clicks more). Yust be sure to not use functions which adds vertices to the mesh, as this will...
I haven't dabbled with Blender in over 10 years. So I am afraid I am of no use as to HOW to do any of the a fore mentioned. Sorry. Most of that could be done in VAM?
atm im trying to port a blender model here and i got it working in daz properly yet when i move it tovam as a morph it deforms badly and doesnt work. does anyone have any solution
Yeah this guide will just produce a plain mesh for sculpting that's all, but, it is absolutely possible to get the morphs, textures and to some extent hair converted for blender as a fully rigged model as I have helped a few people sucessfully port their models to make animations with.
For...

You likely wanna do this either in Blender (complex) or maybe in Unity engine using ProBuilder (somewhat simpler to use).
Check out this tutorial on how to export Unity content toVaM and the ProBuilder video link at the bottom...
Latest update: I was able to finally get a custom unity object to work in VaM, thanks to MacGruber's guide and various tutorials on the Blender-to-Unity process.
The good news is that I'm close, and it works! The bad news is that I'm having a lot of trouble getting my materials into Unity from...
Rookie mistake, I use 4 smooth all of the time cos it costs me like 1fps and always forget to knock it down to check these things. The older look got a lot of blender in the beginning before going back tovam for sliders so i diddnt see the model in blender at the latter stages and smoothing...
