VAR Manager

Other VAR Manager

Fixed sub-folder exceptions not working for backup and restore exceptions.
If you had sub-folders selected in your Folder Exceptions, It would backup those vars even if they were specified as a Folder exception to not back them up.
Also fixed issue where restore folder exceptions were not working at all.
Updated to .NET 7.0, fixed some issues with unreadable vars.
You need the .NET 7.0 Desktop Runtime
You can grab it here: https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet/7.0
Direct link to 64-bit: https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/...u/runtime-desktop-7.0.2-windows-x64-installer

Fixes:
  • Unreadable vars due to zip file header error
  • Unreadable vars due to meta.json errors (trailing commons)
    • Naughty creators!!!!
Small update, fixed a few potential issues with some of the save/load buttons.
Added exception handing to the save/load filters buttons.
Added option to save and load the lists of selected Creator/Folder exceptions to an XML file, to easily get back to certain configurations of creators/folders.

    • OR = includes any files that have this type
    • AND = includes any files that have this type AND all other types with AND selected
    • NOT = includes any files that do NOT have the selected type(s)
    • Click header bar (OR/AND/NOT) to select all/deselect all.

  • Added filter for hidden items. (Don't Count Hidden Items checkbox above)
    • ie. Hair/Clothing/etc. that is hidden will not count that .var as "has hair/clothing".
  • Added support for unpacked vars
    • Updated every function to support unpacked vars, including; All var Backup/Restore functions, config Backup/Restore functions, Disable Preload Morphs, Morph Preset Maker, Duplicate Item Resolver.
    • Was super easy not very much work................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................ :ROFLMAO: 😭
  • Added Undo/Restore Last Config function
    • Wil now automatically save the active vars to VAR Manager configuration before each operation.
    • Configuration is saved to VAR Manager, so it will remember the last active config.
    • Can very quickly undo operations.
    • 1655927702967.png
  • Added var Date Filter option
    • For use with BACKUP functions only
    • Check the box to set a MAX DATE for vars
      • Any vars newer than the MAX DATE will not be moved regardless of other filters
    • 1655927620567.png
  • Rebuilt Restore All Referenced vars functions:
    • Much faster now, doesn't scan all files on each loop unnecessarily.
    • Fixed issue with Restore All Referenced vars function with Restore Exceptions not moving files.
  • Added Skip Favorites option, for use with Backup functions:
    • Will skip backing up any .var file that has any item within it set as a favorite.

Changed to .NET 6.0.

I found that the app wouldn't even open after a Windows update... thanks M$

IF YOU WANT TO RESTORE YOUR SETTINGS
  1. Open new app in desired location, then close it.
  2. Open File Explorer, navigate to: %localappdata%\VAMvarmanager
  3. Sort by date modified, find the second newest folder, open latest version folder within that folder (.28 probably).
  4. This should have your old configuration user.config file
  5. Copy this user.config file
  6. Navigate to newest folder in #2, open .29 folder, overwrite the user.config file in the .29 folder.
  7. Done.
Fixed potential infinite loop with scan local files functions.
