UNSC Arsenal

Assets UNSC Arsenal

This has been a personal passion project of mine for quite some time. All models are publicly available from the Halo Archive discord server.

What's in this pack:
The Pillar of Autumn Hangar
UNSC vehicles from the mainline games and the rts spinoffs
UNSC weapons from the mainline games
Some armor attachments from Halo 3 and Halo: Reach
A set of (unused) marine armor pieces, ranging from backpacks to helmets to shoulders
The spartan-III SPI helmet
Color presets for Testitou's lewd techsuit to match the helmets

Q: Why are there so many asset bundles?
A: I have been slowly making this pack for more than a year now. I've added, removed, and modified little bits of the vehicle packs (such as the shortsword existing in one bundle but none of the others). I accidentally deleted all of my old unity projects last week when making space on my computer, so I need time to figure out how to unpack .assetbundle files, import everything back into unity, ensure everything is still properly textured, and then export it back into VAM. Once that is done this will be updated to reduce the amount of separate files.
Q: Why are there 4 different vehicle packs? And why do so many of them have similar assets in them?
A: See above.
Q: Why are some models texture differently?
A: Many of these files were ripped straight out of halo, but the halo wars 2 units were custom blender models made by the halo modding community. The textures for these models were textured using a custom blender node that I couldn't export, so I had to color some things by hand in unity.
Q: Help! When I load an asset the textures are really faded!
A: Make sure you have the unity asset vamifier plugin on the CUA. If the models are too bright/shiny/dark play around with the settings to fit your liking.
Q: Why can I change the color of some but not all vehicles and armor?
A: Some of these models required custom unity shaders to work properly, something that VAM is unable to modify. I tried my best to use the standard unity shaders for most things, but assets such as the shoulder plates and some helmets just didn't work.
Q: Your tactics confuse and frighten me sir. Why are you using such inefficient methods to port these models when X is such an easier way?
A: I'm just winging it really. Decided to play around with unity while I was dead in Apex, so I taught myself the basics through trial and error. If you know of an easier way to do things please let me know :)
