We are excited to announce a new feature on the Hub: Favorites!
You can now add resources to your favorites, and organize your favorites into collections!
You can check out the details in our official announcement!
UI Assist (UIA) is a plugin that enhances the usability of VAM – primarily targeted at easier and rapid content consumption. It provides an alternative configurable User Interface (UI) to access common VAM features and additional extra functions. Full details are on the hub here.
New Features:
Integration with the VAR Management Feature in BrowserAssist (requires BETA4 (.64) or above). UIAssist will now trigger BrowserAssist to enable any VARs that it needs as part of a button operation.
New UIAssist operations to switch and apply VAR Keep Enable Rulesets (requires BETA4 (.64) or above). UIAssist buttons can now switch between pre-configured rulesets that determine which VAR files to always keep enabled.
Support for opening BrowserAssist with Audio resources as the initial Resource Type.
Bug Fixes:
Various Active Clothing Editor (ACE) bug fixes.
Improvements to prevent UIAssist buttons becoming inactive when a button operation fails.
Appearance presets that contained multiple instances of the same Clothing Item plugin caused a UIAssist exception error.
AcidBubbles Embody plugin in Passenger mode in Desktop VAM caused UIAssist UI to move - hampering interaction in some scenes with rapid head movement for example.
If UIASceneButtons UI was left open when loading a new scene it caused a UIAssist error.
Resolved further Scalp colouring issues with Suppressing Hair Style (i.e. switching hair colours) when loading a Hair Preset.
New options when selecting Targets with the User Chosen Atom option. Hidden atoms, Windows Camera and PlayerNavigationPanel atoms can be optionally excluded from the list of target atoms presented to the user.
New feature when loading a Hair Preset (under the Preset tab), to optionally suppress either Color or Style. This allows switching the hair Color without changing the hair Style or change the Style without altering the Color. Note this is an imperfect color matching approach as different hair presets have different numbers of hair items. The feature uses one hair item as the source color and applied that to all active hair items - which works in most situations.
Bug Fixes:
Active Clothing Editor items that have their names changed with an Alias in BrowserAssist, will now be sorted in alphabetical order of their Alias rather than their original name.
New optional filter on Active Clothing Editor (ACE) to be able to filter to only show 'Real' or not 'Real' clothing items. (Real clothing is a VAM clothing tag that can be set from the Adjustments tab of clothing items and can be used to distinguish not real clothing items like eye shading effects).
Clothing items on the Active Clothing Editor (ACE) are now sorted alphabetically
New button operations (available under Clothing category) to Lock and Unlock all clothing items on a target Person.
New button operation (available under Appearance category) to toggle a global 'Only Load Clothing' setting. When the setting is active, appearance preset loading operations from UIAssist will only load Clothing. The current state of the global toggle setting can be seen and modified under Settings > Preset Loading.
Additional second Target options for Teleport & Parent Atom operations to allow User Chosen Atom selection etc. This facilitates use cases like being able to teleport an atom a fixed offset from itself.
Bug Fixes:
Fixed a bug that meant the setting 'Only Replace Real Clothing' setting for Clothing Preset Load operations was not being saved with UIAssist profile saves.
New Global Functions feature. Sets of centrally configured Operations that can be activated from other Button Operations. Allows commonly used setups to be shared between multiple buttons.
New Button Operation type (available under 'UIAssist' Operation Category) to activate Global Functions.
New Trigger Functions feature. Sets of centrally configured Operations that can be activated when certain events occur. e.g. automatically trigger a set of UIAssist Operations every time a scene loads or when an atom is created.
New Target Category available for the new 'On Atom Added' Trigger Function. Operations can be automatically targeted at new Atoms when they are created.
New option to exclude Hidden Files from operations that select files (e.g. random Preset loading from a folder).
New option to only select Favorited files from operations that select files (e.g. random Preset loading from a folder).
New Button Operation to toggle Scene Mocap playback on and off.
Bug Fixes:
Fixed a bug that was causing a crash under certain conditions when triggering a UIAP Profile load from a button operation
New button operation to remove plugins of a specific type from an Atom. If multiple instances of the same plugin are present there are options to remove all, first, last or all but first or last instances.
New button operation to Reset Pose. This will reset the pose of a target person to the pose and position that the Atom was in when the scene was first loaded. This only works if the atom has not been re-named since the scene load.
Option to hide a button's label on the main Game Control UI. This allows a label to be specified for the button to appear in the tree view navigator on the the plugin UI, but be hidden on the wrist Game Control UI.
Clothing item thumbnails in ACE (Active Clothing Editor) will now pick up custom thumbnails that have been set in BrowserAssist.
Bug Fixes:
Fixed an error message that was appearing when spawning CUAs with a preset
Fixed issues with ACE that was causing clothing to not appear for male atoms under certain circumstances.
Fixed a bug that caused the plugin UI to crash when setting up buttons using the new Set BrowserAssist Filters operation. The UI crashed when setting a filter for Male or Female Clothing Items resource type.
