I made this asset YEARS ago before the VaM Hub was even around and we were still sharing stuff on the subreddit (original post - [https://www.reddit.com/r/VAMscenes/comments/a1ajgd/spy_camera_and_tablet/]). I even shared it here before but I’m re-posting it because it’s apparently hard to find. Plus the old post didn’t contain a .var, so you had to place the files manually into your directory, so I’ve updated now to use the .var file format.
I know there have been many Spy Cams assets shared since but I still think mine stands out from the rest, with the use of PBR materials to create a realistic tablet with a custom made camera HUD, as well as several camera zoom options.
There are 2 assetbundels. One is a single use Camera and Tablet, the other is a multi use set of cameras and tablets.
The camera have various zoom options, and the tablet uses realistic PBR materials, as well as a having a camera HUD.
Instructions:
1. In VaM, add 2 CustomUnityAsset atoms
2. Select one of the CUA atom, click Asset tab in UI, then 'Select File,' choose the SpyCam2.0.assetbundle file. Then in Asset dropdown, choose one of the camera assets
3. Select the second CUA atom, click Asset tab in UI, then 'Select File,' choose the SpyCam2.0.assetbundle file. Then in Asset dropdown, choose the table asset
4. Position the Camera however you like, its feed will appear on the Tablet
