This update focuses on making large camera lists easier to manage, especially in complex scenes with many bookmarks.
New layout & organization features
Favorites Filter
Added a toggle to show only favorited cameras. Perfect when you have lots of captures but only use a handful during recording.
Category System (6 built-in categories)
Each camera capture can now be assigned to one of six categories: Default, Scene, Angle, Movement, Close-up, Custom
This makes it much easier to keep “big scene setups” separate from small angle tweaks or movement shots.
Category Filter Dropdown
A new dropdown lets you filter the list by category (e.g. show only Scene or only Close-up shots). Great for quickly narrowing down the view.
Per-Capture “Cat:” Button
Every capture now has a “Cat:” button. Click it to cycle through the categories directly on that camera entry – no extra menus needed.
Category in Header
Capture headers now show category and favorite status, for example:
★ [Scene] 1. Balcony Wide
This makes it instantly clear what type of shot you’re looking at.
Full Persistence (Save / Load / Export / Import)
Categories and favorites are fully saved in:
the scene JSON
LookCam’s own export/import files
So your organization survives between scenes and projects.
UI Layout Adjustments
All camera buttons and controls are now grouped on the right side of the plugin UI for a cleaner, more consistent layout and better usability in VR.
