LookCam Assistant is a camera bookmarking and navigation tool for VirtaMate that lets you capture, organize, and replay camera views with ease.
It’s built for creators who move the camera a lot while building scenes, posing characters, or framing shots — and want a clean way to save and return to great angles.
The plugin watches the main camera and automatically saves a camera mark when you stop moving, or you can capture views manually at any time. Each view stores full position and rotation, can be reordered, renamed, favorited, and wired into VaM’s trigger system.
HOW TO USE :
Add LookCam Assistant to any atom (or an Empty atom).
The plugin will instantly begin tracking the main camera.
When Auto Capture is enabled, the plugin will automatically save a camera view when you stop moving the camera for a moment.
You’ll see a message like:
“✓ Captured! Move camera to capture next position.”
Click “Manual Capture Now” at any time to save the current camera angle.
All saved views appear in the list with:
Click Load Position to jump to that view.
The camera will smoothly transition to the selected view.
You can adjust the transition speed in the settings.
For each view you can:
