Limit Cache

A small utility plugin to save you harddisk space by automatically clearing the Cache when it reaches a defined size limit.

The Cache creates temporary files on your hard disk, e.g. of Textures, Scene or Appearance thumbnails and other images or videos, to speed up the loading time.

Once every time VaM starts, the size of the cache is calculated and cleared when it exceeds the size limit (default is 10 GB).

Keep in mind that when the Cache is cleared, all of the cached contect that is used again will need to be recreated, which adds a bit of processing time on top. On the plus side, old cache entries that are long outdated and never used again will be removed, freeing up disk space.

This plugin is very handy: When your cache folder reaches a certain threshold that you specify, your cache folder will be emptied and recover used hard disk space when VAM starts. Clever!
