Hi VAM community,

I am sharing some important updates on our platform that are resolving some critical friction points for users related to web3 technology, no knowledge of crypto, wallets, etc. The typical scenarios we have seen which are preventing both creators and supporters are:

1. Users don't have a crypto wallet and cannot signup on Housefly
2. Users don't own any MATIC to pay for content on Housefly
3. Users don't want to connect their wallet with Housefly due to safety concerns

As of today, in addition to connecting a digital wallet, both creators and supporters will be able to create an account with an email address. By signing up with an email, users will be delegated a Housefly wallet and don't have to connect their own wallet or create one to sign up on Housefly.

What are the benefits:

? Creators can start earning without connecting their wallet. You can withdraw earnings in both MATIC and USDT on any external wallet in 30 seconds.

? Supporters can sign up with an email and fund their delegated Housefly wallet with a credit card to pay for content.

You don't need to be crypto savvy anymore to use Housefly.


Other improvements:

?️You can now embed Sendvid videos in your posts for content previews. This will help you create more appealing posts and promote your assets better. @Nial this one's for you mate You can edit your posts and embed all those preview videos instead of providing just links.

?️ In addition to subscriptions counter, we added a post counter with number of unlocks of your Pay-to-view assets as social proof which will instill trust with users and improve the conversion rate of Pay-to-view content.

?️Lastly, we increased the number of tags you can add from 3 to 5 to help you improve the discoverability of your content on Housefly. Make sure you always use appropriate tags when you post new content so users can find in through the search feature.

With this release, we will be now focusing on Housefly 2.0 which will have a new face, UI, improved UX, Commissions module where you will be able to offer services and commissions, messaging features with both free and paid messages and much more.

We wanted to share a great example from @Nial (With his permission of course ) how to setup your profile on Housefly to monetize your paid assets via subscriptions and pay-to-view basis.

STEP 1 - PROFILE THAT SELLS

1. Claim your custom URL like Nial did: https://www.housefly.io/@Nial
2. Explain who you are in one paragraph
3. Explain the pay models you will use on Housefly
4. Add your social links and website

STEP 2 - ADD YOUR RESOURCES ON HOUSEFLY

1. Create a public post for each paid resource with image / video preview and description of the asset, and add links to the resources with the download link for both subscribers and pay-to-view. Here's an example: https://www.housefly.io/@Nial/_8cgY0zeJUmd4jMw5nL83A/spider-sense

2. Create one premium post (for subscribers) and one pay-to-view post (to download only this asset) and add the download link of the resource.

STEP 2 - ADD "PAY BUTTON" FROM YOUR HUB RESOURCE PAGES

Add "Housefly.io" button linking your paid resource with the public post on Housefly.

Video preview of pay link via "Button" so users can pay in crypto for your resource on Housefly.

Now you can add a "Pay with crypto" button on your resource pages, and link it to your Housefly profile or to a specific "pay-to-view" resource on Housefly where users can pay one time fee to download that specific resource.

This way, users who prefer to pay with crypto will have an easy way to reach your Housefly profile or resource and complete the transaction, directly from your resource pages on the VAM Hub.
