This particle pack is inspired by the desire to create particle effects that are well suited for backgrounds in a variety of scenes. This set of 62 particle effects is geared towards backdrops for photography, dance and stage backgrounds, and fantasy scenes. "Demo Scene 1" is provided as a convenience to quickly preview three of my favorite effects. A couple of stage effects are shown in the "Whatever particles you want" demo scene. A variety of three-dimensional spherical particle effects are demonstrated in the scene "when the stars fall down." Five new particle effects were added in Version 4--these effects are truly unique and have quirks that you should read about in the update section. The demo scene "angels" provides a quick testing of these wild particle effects. Gabriel 43 continues the wild particle ride, with Gabriel 43f one of the most visually intense particle effects that I have created to date. Check out "a particle storm" demo scene for a fun ride.

The good thing about rendering particles in this manner is that it can result in very interesting and geometrically complex patterns that often look very crisp in resolution. The bad thing about using 3d mesh rendering is that it requires extra compute power to display the multiple dimensions and so it can have more of an impact on framerates than most other particle rendering methods.
