Saw a youtube short about this space a few days ago and thought it might be fun to see in VR.
This is inspired by the idea.. "Newtons Cenotaph" it's not exactly accurate to what Boullee envisioned it would look like inside.
I'm in the process of editing the textures on my skyboxes and some star fields to use for the inner part of the sphere. as making all those holes for the star patterns in the actual model will just not work
The idea of this space was to take the slow walk down the tunnel and then end up in the Sphere.
I made it a straight shot to the center. Walking down a curved stairwell in VR might have been difficult to travel in the dark and lighting it would mess up the mood
If it peeks enough interest, I might go more accurate to the design of the space, minus all the holes. A texture could fake the stars from the interior
