• Happy Holidays Guest!

We want to announce that we will be working at reduced staffing for the holidays. Specifically Monday the 23rd until Jan 2nd.

This will affect approval queue times and responses to support tickets. Please adjust your plans accordingly and enjoy yourselves this holiday season!

  • Hi Guest!

Please be aware that we have released a critical security patch for VaM. We strongly recommend updating to version 1.22.0.7 using the VaM_Updater found in your installation folder.

Details about the security patch can be found here.
FaceBlend is as a plugin to seamlessly blend any face (or other skin element) with a different set of skin textures without needing Photoshop, GIMP, Blender or any external programs.

Has it every happened to you where you find a beautiful face preset only to find the body textures don't match your taste? Created a new character with FaceGen and unhappy with the default body textures? Save countless hours wasted blending textures together.

FaceBlend blending is controlled by a simple black and white mask texture. Some sample mask textures are provided, but you can also create your own.

Blend faces, nipples, nails, brows - any part that you can mask out, then save the results!

The steps are simple:

1) Load a Person with the base textures you want.
2) Add the Plugin to the person (FaceBlend.cs).
3) Choose Face, Torso, Gens or Limbs
4) Select the new texture you wish to overlay.
5) Choose the appropriate mask texture
6) Tweak hue, saturation and value to help match skin tone.
7) Bake (export) out the new texture to a png file
8) Remove the plugin and switch to your new saved texture.

Please only distribute output textures where you have the right to distribute it. When in doubt, check the licenses of both the base and overlay textures used.

I am by no means an artist - the provided mask textures were hastily painted in blender. I highly encourage the community to look into creating and sharing their own mask textures.

Baking is highly recommended, as this plugin is not designed to be saved in scenes.

Note: This is my first plugin and I only do this as a hobby during limited free time - no Patreon or financial support. So please be patient with me if you find any bugs, I will do my best to address when I have time.

Shout out to @MacGruber and @Chokaphi, whose plugins I learned from.

I loved it. But there should be a way to change the entire body at once, instead of separating torso/limbs/genitals.

What an amazing way to speed up the creation process. Seriously awesome. Not exactly using the way its intended out of the box, but its such a powerful and yet simple tool. Not simple to make though I'm sure! Thanks for all your hard work! I've made so many custom masks already!

Is it applicable to ALTFUTA?

I haven't looked at altfuta yet but if it doesn't use the same UVs as standard VaM (Daz Genesis 2) male and females, then the included masks won't work.
The plug-in should still work but you'd need to make your own blend masks.

You could make the blend masks in Photoshop, gimp or even Blender by painting a black and white mask with a soft brush over the seams of the UV.
