Vamsync Handy - Vamsync_Handy - a new drop in replacement for the VaMSync application for handy users!

VaMSync Handy is a Windows desktop app that acts as a drop in replacement for the VaMSync application for handy users.
Instead of using the legacy bluetooth control with Buttplug.io, it uses the modern Handy API v3 via Handy Direct Streaming Protocol (HDSP) operations.
This should mean much better device movement, connection speed, connectively and reliability with the existing VAMLaunch Plugin.

This application also supports TCode(v0.3) movement data via UDP with the ToySerialController...

Thank you for sharing this.
I was having trouble with Handy2 frequently disconnecting from interfaceCentral
and not working properly, but this one connected just fine.
It seems there are several versions of VamLaunch. Which one are you using?
I was using the following version

You should be able to use any of them including ToySerialController+VAMLaunch. You can even use the original ToySerialController plugin provided you set UDP plus the correct port and ip in the ToySerialController plugin controls. The others should work automatically.

Looks very nice. we can always use more development in this area. This replaces vamsync and intiface correct? I currently have a Keon with honestly no compaints, but maybe I journey to handyland. I am releasing a funscript player once approved here today. That combined with animationpattern being used by VamLaunch and this should work pretty sweet and hopefully lead to some nice "feeling" scenes.

My question too.
I'm confused of how to send out the motion data from VaM setup?

So this application directly replaces the old vamsync that used an older version of Buttplug (now intiface), to send commands to the handy via bluetooth.
If you need a guide on how to set up VaM to send out motion data you should follow up to step 4 of this and use my programme for the rest of the steps.

I'm going to assume by the fact that the device says H02 that you have a handy 2?? I have only tested on the handy 1 but I will look into it. It could be an internet connection issue if you have an unusual internet setup like on a university campus or an issue with the handy servers but they tend to be quite reliable.

ive been using it on faptap and vamsync(the one with legacy bluetooth) without this issue, and yes this is handy 2

I tried to use it and got it working, but man, that thing will rip your dick off!
I know it's not with you, but I'm just sharing and maybe someone will have a reasoning.

I understand that the plugin in VAM has a lot of options and I tried to fiddle with that, but still the movement was erratic, aggressive and when I stopped animation or froze it, the handy kept going with sharp movement from top to down and back.
If there is a physics explosion in the scene, that's pretty dangerous, haha.

Maybe someone figured out how to calm it down and make it listen more to movement?

So Vamsync Handy does not queue movements, so when the commands stop from VAM the handy will stop almost immediately. If handy movements are happening with stopped animation that is 100% on the scene.
I've never made a VaM plugin and don't know exactly how movements are generated from actions in game, but from checking out scenes with vamlaunch integration, quality can be all over the place.
Most of the CuddleMocap scenes seem to have a speed setting based on animation speed if that's what you need.
Vamsync Handy already has speed cap so that actions do not get too fast for the device, it's possible I could make that adjustable.

Thank you for your response!

It might be that. I tried the scenes from Ispinox which had this effect in every one I tried.

Anyway, thank you for your input and your project!

hi, i tried the newest version and im getting these:
I would ignore them as long as you are getting movement and the handy is working. Your internet connection is repeatedly closing the persistent Server-Sent Events connection to the handy server that is used for real time device status updates.
This matters for getting things like battery or handy disconnection warnings in the ui, but does not affect movement.

Great replacement, love it. Only issue; when using it, the device continues to go all the way to 100% despite any settings within the plugins. It seems to default to 100% when the action stops. This is infuriating and kind of a deal breaker at this point.
