Hello,

I recently cleared my VAM cache (which was a staggering 450gb or something)...

Anyhow the cache clearing went fine, no problems.

However now that I try to edit my characters etc, most of my morphs that I used to use are not showing up anymore.

In-fact only way get them to show is to load up an old character that has some of the missing ones (once I load a scene or a character then the said morphs the character has stay permanently after that, but having said that I'm missing 80% morphs that I used to have...)

Is there anyway to recover the morphs somehow?

Also keep getting this error when loading scenes.

Morphs showing or not depends if they're set to be preloaded or currently in use. You can specify for each VAR in Packagae Manager if you want its morphs to be preloaded under the tab user prefs.

Unfortunately made no difference

Something terribly broken after my cache clearing, stuff not loading up...

Also checking the morph preload tab in user prefs, it doesn't stay on. I cross it and then go check it again and it shows without the mark there...

Without information I cannot help. What made no difference?
What else of relevance shows in the error log? That's only a snippet.

Everything in that list that has somebody.something.1_1.var or anything like that is a duplicate file that needs to be deleted. If it's the same size as the original somebody.something.1.var, then delete the duplicate. If the original is smaller, or 0 size, then you have a damaged file. Delete the damaged file, and rename the duplicate to have the correct, original name. If that's too complicated, then delete both and download it again. The problem files are all showing "does not use integer version" errors.

Once you have that mess cleaned up, then go in game to the hub and use the search for missing dependencies menu and download all the missing ones. Clearing your cache would not create this mess.

For error understanding:

Well it did create the problem sadly. I've now gone through every single error, but one remains and I've got no idea how to fix it:

Only the custom morphs that I have saved to the characters show up ingame, for example If I load up a new character I don't see most of the ones I'd like to use.

I've tried the package manager preload load on prefs, I put an X on the option and close it down. Go check it and its unchecked again...

There seems to be problems with saving information, like user prefs. This can happen when you have VaM in some sort of protected folder like in Users/, Program Files, etc. Where is yours?
Did you try a core fix with vam_updater.exe?

Simply S:\VaM

There was no issues prior to clearing my cache.

Yes, I tried every Repair possible, Core/ALL q_q no help

Edit:

I think the only option is to make a new fresh install and slowly start adding the files from the original install to see what is the reason that breaks the game.

Though if someone has better ideas, I'm all ears :(

When you say you cleared the cache, did you do that using the button in-game that says Clear Cache, or did you delete files manually? Manually whacking things can create havoc. The cache that Vam uses is really just for image files. Using the in-game clear cache button has no effect on your AddonPackages folder.

If you start a new install, sort your vars in AddonPackages by date and move them to the new area in batches starting with the oldest. You may have a corrupted var in the recent downloads causing the remaining error.

At one point, I had 10,000 files in Custom\Atom\Person\Morphs\female. I still have no idea how they all got there, as I did not create them. I moved them all to a holding area outside of Vam, then put back the ones scenes complained about. I have less than 300 now.

I did it via the ingame one, game didn't crash or anything, everything seemed to go fine.

Thanks for the tips. Will do it like this
