Syrinxo submitted a new resource:

Mystique: Woman? Snake. Both! Very. - Pick your favorite figure for this slinky blue beauty. All original. Comes with sample scenes.

Meet Mystique. View attachment 287701

She's a sultry snake girl, with a lot more attitude - and heat - than you'd expect from someone covered in scales.
View attachment 287553

She's an original sculpt (Blender), fully custom textures (Substance Painter/GIMP), with a clothing piece and CUA tail to round out the character.

There are three morph versions: "Mysthicc", basic (slim and...

Do you think it might be possible to re-release the tail CUA with rigidbody bones so that they can be controlled with Puppeteer (https://hub.virtamate.com/resources/puppeteer-advanced-bone-control.58434/) or similar plugins? I always find it very hard to use looks with tails in actual animations because they have a mind of their own  I tried using stopper's plugin, but it doesn't seem to work (well) for me... Lovely snek btw :)

This tail doesn't have animations, you can pose it however you want! I used Stopper's CUA Controller plugin previously, looks like Puppeteer is similar?

Using your plugin preset throws a bunch of errors and also resets the pose every time I load up the scene which is really annoying when using Timeline... Puppeteer works a lot better for me, but it might just be my mistake of course. I have no idea how rigging works and how much work this would be for you, so no problem at all if this is not an easy "fix" and you don't want to do it!

Ah, yikes. well, what I'm saying is that the tail is already rigged, have you tried using PUppeteer on it yet? From reading the plugin description, it looks like a fancier (and hopefully more stable) analogue to CUA Controller, so perhaps you can just avoid using the plugin preset entirely and pop Puppeteer on instead?

But you're probably talking about the character's plugin preset, which includes her collider editor and stuff, some of which is probably necessary. The VAR might include the collider editor preset though, so you can just re-load that plugin and its preset too. Gosh I don't even remember what I put in that scene... outdated, at least, that's for sure! I need to fish it out of my archive (such a huge file.... <,< ) and see what's going on.

I noticed that it is rigged and has bones, but for some reason, you can't add a "hard controller," as it's called in Puppeteer, to the bones, so you can't really move them using that plugin. I thought maybe they just weren't tagged as rigidbody or something (again, I have no clue how it works in detail). But if it's too much trouble, don’t worry about it!

You're an absolute legend btw. I've been following your stuff since the old VAM Reddit days back in 2018, you inspired me to really push things to the limit when it comes to looks and scenes :) And you're super nice too! But enough glazing... Hope life is treating you well and I hope you're having a great day/night!

I haven't really looked into it, but is the tail rigidbone or springbone? I think you did the latter with it.

Aw man, thank you for the kind words, always nice to get an ego boost! 😊 And great to hear from another "dinosaur" from the early VAM days, haha. I'll never complaining about a good glazing... though I really hope that term has changed a bit since the last time I heard it... 💦 😆

I think @Saglinger is exactly right, I added the rigging in Blender and it automatically comes into Unity as a springbone? (I haven't heard that term before) But I recall you need to add rigid body components to prefabs yourself. So in that case, CUA Controller is the only real option for that particular asset in VAM, unless I find the time to go back and rework some of my old content. Frustrating - I could spend a year doing that, at this point...

I feel like I must've seen your stuff before, but I'm finding nothing on the Hub. Do you still make content? Anyway... a great day/night to you too! 😄

I like using Skynet's new plugins, as they seem to be much less buggy and more polished overall than some of the older stuff. I'll try again using a modified CUA Controller script; maybe I can figure something out to get rid of the loading issues...
I would try modifying the asset, but I don't think that'll work without the original files.

Your old content holds up very well, in my opinion. I do think it deserves some love, but I totally get why you don't wanna mess with all that 😅
That reminds me - will we ever see a comeback of the OG gal (the one in your pfp)?
I lost her when I nuked my old installation full of the old .vac self extracting stuff that I didn't feel like organizing properly, haha

Unfortunately, I never really got around to uploading content; I was very much a lurker throughout all of VAM's existence... I could never be bothered to deal with copyright and all the dependency stuff to properly release something - you know what I'm talking about
But I'll give back to the community at some point for sure... Maybe in VAM2 if we ever live to see it :ROFLMAO:
