I'm a newbie and just started playing this game. I want to make some comics. Can anyone give me some advice?

I suggest contacting directly someone who does comics using VAM for tips and suggestions.

You can render high res stills using the Supershot plugin. I know the BodyLanguage suite does speech and thought bubbles. I don't know other plugins that do speech bubbles. These could always be added in post. With BodyLanguage, it's fairly easy to set up and save a lot of poses, even if you don't care about the automated motions. The forces can be disabled, if all you're doing is rendering stills. Once you have your stills, combine them into a PDF, that's what several others do, like @Falis

OK, I will try to look at other people's works, and thank you for your reply 😊

VAMStory might be something you can look into. Can be a bit daunting to initially get into and it's more-so for telling stories you can play through within VaM itself, but it might be useful depending on what you're trying to do.

I'd say it's worth a look at least.

SuperShot was mentioned. That should be helpful especially because you can script it, for example via LogicBricks. So you can easily take screenshots from the exact same positions, make slight scene modifications and repeat. If each image for your comic is setup as a subscene, you could even automate loading the subscenes and taking the shots. So, you can easily make modifications and redo your screenshots in seconds or minutes. For example, you realize 100 screenshots into your comic novel that you would have needed to place item X, say a dildo on the bed in the background. Redoing 100 screenshots by hand can take a while. Of course it needs clever setup of how you store your scenes.

You could also try using PostMagic with a Toon UserLUT. That's simply a reduced color palette, which gives you a somewhat cartoon'ish look. Probably not what you want, but worth a try 🤷‍♂️
These two LUTs come with the plugin, but you can easily make your own LUTs:

Thanks for your reply🙏 I am using VAMStory to create stories now. It looks easy to use, but it is actually very complicated.. haha
