Would someone be able to modify this plugin so it is triggerable?

The plugin work great standalone to load and play BVH animations, of which there are thousands of BVH animation files to choose from. Problem is the plugin is missing crucial options from a trigger.
All it needs is a reliable trigger to load, play and stop. I looked through the code and is simply above my pay grade.
I've attached a demo scene if anyone is interested.
