Voxta (Virt-A-Mate Plugin)

Plugins Voxta (Virt-A-Mate Plugin)

How do I actually find the download for the:

AcidBubbles.Voxta.VERSION.var ??

I'm either stupid or blind or both.

Acid Bubbles updated Voxta (Virt-A-Mate Plugin) with a new update entry:

Voxta Plugin for Virt-A-Mate is free, still needs Voxta Server available through Patreon

In an effort to make Virt-A-Mate AI-powered scenes easier to publish and use, we have made several changes that I think will make everyone's life easier.

1. Voxta Server v1.0.0-beta.122 and more recent provide a new "Package" system as well as a "Scenario" system that allows Virt-A-Mate scenes to come with everything needed for a custom, scene-specific experience; that includes the character, triggers, etc.
2. Voxta Virt-A-Mate Plugin is now free on the Virt-A-Mate Hub, making is simpler to...

@emil and @OffshoreKartel we're mostly active on the Voxta Discord, but did you figure it out since? We're moving forward with making the plugin free and we'll soon release a demo scene you can try more easily, but you will need Voxta Server which is still a paid resource (although you can get it and run local services, so no need to get a monthly subscription or anything if you have a good GPU, you can just subscribe for a month :) But keep in mind, we're updating and improving all the time, too)

Where can I download the Voxta AI desktop software?

Also, Voxta does not necessarily occupy a certain port every time, unless the port number is very unpopular and no other software will grab it.

So, your plugin should implement several use cases:

1. Automatically detect whether Voxta software is started, and if Voxta software is not started, do not provide the next function, etc.

2. Automatically find Voxta's local server port.

Voxta software seems to require payment on Patreon.

@zqwvc1419 Hi! The plugin allows you to integrate VaM with Voxta, but indeed Voxta itself is available on our Patreon (you can download and use local services though, you don't have to use paid AI services even though we do offer some included, and if you run everything locally you need a beefy GPU!)

Voxta Server does use a port (5384) but it can be changed if you need in the appsettings.

About your feedback, it is appreciated; we can already detect that Voxta Server is not running and show messaging for it, but we don't want Voxta to do port scanning, this would probably trip up antivirus software :)

Hey @051Kurt ! Voxta Server is the app that allows you to talk with an AI, the "backend". That's the 6$ tier. The 12$ tier includes the Virt-A-Mate plugin and scene (in addition to the Voxta Server, which is unrelated to Virt-A-Mate).

Let me know if you need more info!
Hi Acid I am planing on grabbing the Voxta patron 24 tomorrow and was wondering if it comes with the LLM or do i need to pick up something like Oooga Booga to go with it? I am not very tech smart so i am hoping i get it all to work lol

@Psipress We provide our own hosted LLM, text to speech and speech to text, and there are some credits that come with all subscription levels for you to start with. After that you can either self-host the LLM and other things (Voxta can be 100% self hosted), connect to other online providers or increase your subscription if you feel it's worth it for you. We're trying hard to make it flexible without making it complicated :)

Thanks you for the info and that is super cool i am looking forward to it Thursday :}

Hey @Acid Bubbles, absolutely amazing how you've made AI integration super easy for everyone. Thanks!

So I'm having a specific issue that maybe there's a better solution for. @CuddleMocap's scenes are some of my favorite. I'm sure you're aware of them, their quality, and that they have voice commands built into them. Pretty sure you can see where this is going. The voice commands for scene functions are great, hands free everything is amazing. Anyhow, they're using MacGruber's Speech Recognition plugin for this and it overrides being able to talk with Voxta through the Voxta plugin.

I imagine that either this plugin (or the Voxta app?) and MacGruber's are fighting for exclusive access to the mic, and that only one of them is allowed access. For now, I just disable MacGruber's plugin, but it would be wonderful is a solution could be developed where the mic could be shared somehow.

@Metix I don't know if that's possible... but it's possible to make Voxta-powered actions that invoke the same things as MacGruber's plugin, it's just that you'd have to bring back those actions from the scene to a Voxta scenario (it's not super complicated but it's more than just a few clicks for sure). Someone motivated could even automate that by making a MacGruber-To-Voxta-Scenario converter :)
