Virtual Desktop stuck on 2.4ghz?

So I'm trying to get the AR VAM to work but at the minute my VR headset is stuck on 2.4ghz instead of 5ghz and it runs really slowly and doesn't look great despite that my router has 5ghz support
Any ideas on how to fix this?
