Question Virt-A-Mate download

I have just got my new oculus and would like to know the best way to download Virt-A-Mate. Should I use Steam or another download site? Would I be able to use files from this site on the Steam download? Im new to PC VR and would appreciate any advice to get started.

You can't download VaM with Steam cause VaM isn't available on Steam. You have to use the installer from the link posted by @DTB247 .
No other way.

My bad. Steam has Virt-U-Mate. I'm glad I didn't get it.

Yes .you can download scenes and view them easily in desktop mode. If you want to create looks hairstyles animations and poses or possess a look vr is the way to go

I recommend to use it in VR cause in desktop mode you will miss the whole experience, really. Also I recommend to buy the creator version cause this allows you to change everything you want within scenes and also to create scenes by yourself.
You only have to pay once.
