Hi there, there seems to be a missing dependency

THANK YOU for providing us with this breathtaking project. I cannot believe the amount of work that you put into this.

I just want report that I have been successful running Produce_69.29 through .31 on my version of VAM which is 1.22.0.12. Unless you tell me that I am missing some major functionality, I'll stick with this VAM version since everything else is pretty much stable.

I have an issue for which I need your help. It seems that once a song has started, I cannot exit out of the song (or make changes such as disabling NPCs etc.). I thought that I read that your in-game panel could be activated by pressing the side grip buttons. But for some reason, I cannot make the control panel appear via the side grip buttons (nothing happens). Perhaps there is some key binding that I need to look into?

I hope to be able to exit out of a scene instead of sitting through the whole thing. There are times when I accidently click on something and am forced to watch a whole dance. Or that I open a new scene to check out, only to find that I want to change backgrounds.

Anyway, I am not complaining. There is just so much to enjoy that my Quality of Life issues are minor.
Thanks for the feedback!

You actually brought up a really good QoL issue. For a long time, I’ve been trying to figure out better design choices for improving the UX in VR mode, and the situation you described is a perfect example of one of those challenges.

The main physical limitation is simply the number of buttons available on VR controllers. In desktop mode, functionality like this is easy to implement through hotkeys such as F2 or F4, but in VR there are far fewer inputs to work with.

I haven’t really found a suitable button mapping, or a solution that feels truly elegant, yet.

As a heavy VR user yourself, do you have any ideas or suggestions?

Actually, more specifically, I assume this issue only becomes significant when you're using CamRide mode in VR.

When you're not using CamRide, bringing up the UI is a fairly normal interaction and usually isn't much of a problem.

In CamRide mode, however, you're essentially flying around the scene like you're on a roller coaster. Even if you manage to bring up the UI, it's often difficult to actually click anything while the camera (***you***) is moving around like that.

Thank you so much for creating this project; it is truly breathtaking and dreamlike. I am particularly fond of your "hanfu" | "国风" collection. Since I am new to VaM, I am not familiar with how things were in the past. I was wondering if the songs listed in the collection are real, and if they are all available for use. I would really love to experience more songs, and I look forward to your reply。

Hi, thank you.

In RC4a, you can preview unreleased tracks by enabling Options ▸ General ▸ "Preview Unreleased Tracks".

Once enabled, those tracks that appear grayed out as Coming Soon in the regular lists will become available in the RAW tab for preview. Feel free to add them to your Favorites list for quick access using the Favorites feature.

As for the Hanfu DLC, those tracks will be gradually remastered throughout the next few RC updates.

There was a blind spot in version .32: path resolution issues could still occur when loading the scene from a local save rather than directly from the VAR.

Version .33 completely closes that loophole.

If you're still using .32 and you have a habit of saving the scene locally and loading it from those saves, I strongly recommend updating to .33.
