• Happy Holidays Guest!

We want to announce that we will be working at reduced staffing for the holidays. Specifically Monday the 23rd until Jan 2nd.

This will affect approval queue times and responses to support tickets. Please adjust your plans accordingly and enjoy yourselves this holiday season!

  • Hi Guest!

Please be aware that we have released a critical security patch for VaM. We strongly recommend updating to version 1.22.0.7 using the VaM_Updater found in your installation folder.

Details about the security patch can be found here.

Lately I have noticed when I try to open a scene or look that after clicking it, it takes forever to load.
Sometimes I wait over 10 minutes before it loads.
Sometimes I click an empty part of the the screen and the loading seems to start moving.
In your opinion, is this a computer problem or a VAM software problem?

If it was a VaM problem then it would be commonplace and happening for at least 1 or 2 years since 1.22.0.3 was released.
It's more likely a problem from tons of other possible things in your system. Try to recall what happened since when it didn't have the problem mentioned and now, what could have lead to this.

I have no idea when this started happening. It just seams to be getting worse.

Did you happen to download the unofficial performance patch below at some point? After the recent security patch(s) it's become obsolete. I know it was reducing load times massively for me at least, so I can imagine the whiplash of going back to vanilla VaM performance.

I had not but is there a version of this plugin for older Vam like 1.20.77.9?
I use the latest update on one drive and for scenes that won't work with the newer vam I keep an older version on another drive.

It's unlikely it'll work with anything older than 1.22.0.3, but you can always try if you don't mind the security risk. Just make a backup of the "Assembly-CSharp.dll" file in the "VaM_Data\Managed\" folder in case it doesn't.
