What for a myth is this that 45Hz Physics Rate, Update Cap :2. should be more efficient ?
Where does it come from ?

I don't think it's more efficient for everyone. It's just what worked the best for my headset/PC setup. Virt-A-Mate is very physics dependant, a lot of scenes break without the correct settings, so I thought it might be best to include the physics settings I worked with. The scene might work just as good with other settings, I just didn't test it. I've also noticed animations with Timeline play at different speeds depending on the update cap.
