If you experience a sudden increase in loading times, it might be due to Windows Defender. After a recent Defender Update, it scans .dll files longer and more aggressively. As a result, scenes that use many plugins, such as logic bricks for example, take significantly longer to load (I experienced around a 150-200% increase).

Creating a Defender exclusion for VaM folder can help reduce this delay. Of course, do this at your own risk. VaM plugins from official sources are generally safe, especially the most widely used ones. However, exercise caution when using or downloading plugins from unofficial sites, particularly if you’ve added a Defender exclusion. Disabling scans increases the risk if a malicious file manages to slip through.

Indeed, the scene I was working on originally took about 1 minute 30 seconds to load, but suddenly it became nearly 5 minutes. After excluding VAM from Defender, it returned to normal.
