Appreciate the free resource as it looks really nice, but unfortunately (as the reviews have mentioned) it does not work in VR.

This doesn't work in VR but it's actually an easy fix, you just need to set it to Single Pass Stereo and remove the Unity camera. I've made a little guide for how to do it here.
