This is just a quick hack I came across while accidentally cutting up the mesh while editing. And I found it looked kinda cool, so I want to share it with you!

The ripping is not done via textures. The mesh is actually cut up.

But, I don't know what such an entry point could possibly be useful for...
Maybe you have better imaginagion and can figure something out! :D

Very cool hack! I wonder if you could extend the rip and use a sim texture to make it interactively rippable.

Would be cool, but I don't think that's posible because of two reasons:
  1. Every hole I cut will be visible from the start because of the wrapping algorithm.
  2. A region either has sim or not. It can't be dialed in on the fly. Maybe one could try and make it simmed and fine tune the undress threshold. But I think this will look bad becasue the undress will have it's effect on the whole clothing, making it react to the colliders and increasing the offset drastically.
