Resources list view broken by missing thumbnail?

Noticed another little bug with the hub's resource view. Apparently, the placeholder thumbnail doesn't cause the text for the title and description of a resource to move over the same way a thumbnail does.

<EDIT> This doesn't really affect the grid view, but it does affect the stacked view.

For example, the Demon Bitch resource below

Or these two resources

I concede the point, but in actuality we've tried to remedy any resources missing thumbnails. If you spot a resource missing a thumbnail, first try refreshing your browser. If that doesn't work, and the resource appears to have been posted before 2023 when we started requiring thumbnails, please report the affected resources and we'll make sure they get a thumbnail if possible.

Yeah, pretty sure this was just a connection issue. Examing the "Bitch Demon" resource shows it does have a thumbnail. https://hub.virtamate.com/resources/bitch-demon.58042/
For what it's worth, I don't know if that was the result of a connection issue, or someone spotting this thread and correcting the oversight, because the thumbnail appeared soon after I posted that.

On that note, it seems most common with older content uploaded to the hub, especially things like scripts that do things that aren't easy to convey visually, or don't have official models associated with it.

For example, just now, going through the plugins/scripts category, and starting from the oldest first, I found something like 20 or so resources in the last 3 pages(I started at Page 15, then went through resources without thumbnails, and onto page 14, and 13, and stopped)

Maybe a solution would be to look into what's different between the placeholder thumbnail and the user-generated thumbnail to figure out why the formatting between the two is different?

I am unable to reproduce the issue you described.

Additionally, the default placeholder is an icon, not an image, which accounts for any differences in styling. We would prefer to address the lack of an icon with a specific resource rather than reformat the css, since resources can no longer be posted without images -- the resource form will not submit without a thumbnail, so this is a database maintenance issue now.

I assure you, there was no intentional "fix" after your post. It is a known issue that occasionally some users will experience connection issues between their location and our CDN serving images to the Hub. During these times, you may see several "default icons" where images should be. Refreshing the page, or waiting a few minutes should solve the issue.

This issue is being closed as "not a bug".

Might be a browser specific issue then. I have this issue specifically in Firefox, but not in Microsoft Edge.

No issue using Firefox.
For you perhaps. For me it's persistent. Only getting the issue in Firefox(as mentioned, doesn't affect Edge), and the issue doesn't appear to be affected by Adblock or enabling/disabling my VPN. Guess it must just be a me thing.

I meant in the way that mine did not ever show the kind of problems pointed, apart from when the reasons that Ash mentioned are in effect, so it doesn't seem to be a Firefox issue.
Try clearing your cache, check your settings, try incognito mode or even a new Firefox profile.
