Question Replace a character in a scene?

I'm wondering the best way to go about replacing a character from a downloaded scene with another of my own. I've tried using appearance presets, but a lot of the times they come out looking much different. Is there a better way to go about this? Many thanks.

Not to my knowledge. I believe the reason is the difference between lightings exposed to 2 appearances.

I think loading an Appearance Preset in the Person atom is the right approach. What change to the person do you notice?
