qdaro updated Qvaro with a new update entry:

Downloading VARs from Vam Hub

You can now download dependencies from Vam Hub. Unlike in game, you can cherry pick which dependencies will be downloaded, with an option to download all of the dependencies of a single VAR.

You can also update packages by right clicking them and selecting Download latest option. This will replace the current package with its latest version available on Hub.

Download latest can be also used to restore original version of packages modified by Qvaro if...

Hub Search tool and dependency downloading UI improvements

Features

- Hub Search tool: allows downloading any Hub hosted package by their name.

- Clicking on missing dependency now opens its Hub page in your browser (if there is one).
- You can also open Hub page of any installed VAR. The button is either in its context menu, or on its page.
- Ability to download VARs into specific category.
- When downloading dependencies the UI now shows their size, and allows you to cancel individual or all queued...

Automatic Items Deduplicator

Automatic Items Deduplicator

View attachment 532203

It deduplicates items automatically, but you first must put all of your clothing & hairs into a category separate from scenes, looks, and other VARs, otherwise Qvaro just doesn't have a way to tell which package should be the carrying one. There's an info section right above it describing everything about how it works.

Improved search UI

Improved file browser, broken chinese VARs fixer, and smaller VARs

Features
  • Improved package files browser to enhance readability.
    View attachment 533867
  • Automatic broken chinese VARs detection and fixing tool.
Chinese VARs are sometimes packaged with wrong encoding that breaks VAM's package loader. Fixing tool will convert them to UTF8 and repackage them.
If you already have broken chinese VARs in your catalog, you need to Rebuild it for them to get detected.
Right click the "Update catalog" button...

Can you add a function to hide items. this may avoid repack the var files, only add some files in specific locations.

Speaking of hiding items, it is just wayyy to easy to click isolate when you mean enable and fuck your entire setup.. oh man I love using qvaro but that's becoming a deal breaker for me. I know I can keep certain packages and categories enabled but like you end up with so many unorganized packages you just settle on one category with a delicate balance of enabled vs disabled

Suggestions:
-Add a button to download the dependencies of the entire collection
-Add an option to add alternative var file sources, like local directories

Hey @qdaro, in the morph deduplicator, what is the implication of this scenario:

Screenshot 2025-11-13 115344.png

Does this morphpack actually overwrite the built in morph? When I run VaM with this package, it still indicates this particular morph is built in and a default morph, not a custom one from this package (it doesn't show the package it came from and it's UI box is white instead of red) but is it actually using this package's version of that morph? If so, that's so insidious, I've been trying for days to hunt down a package that messed up my naturalis breast physics / colliders and it's crazy that I can't even trust the built in morphs.

I did want to add button to download everything, or even check for updates of your whole collection, but those are heavy DB queries for hub's database, and when I asked AshAuryn if I can implement hub downloading they allowed it, but made me feel like they are already just barely tolerating me having access to VaM HUB API, so I don't want to push it.

I'm working on alternative var sources.

Hey @qdaro, in the morph deduplicator, what is the implication of this scenario...
No morph overwrites other morph, even when they have the same ID. They just sit next to each other in the list, that's why the morph deduplicator exists. Your appearance is using morph from whatever package you told it to use it from, until you remove that package, or qvaro deduplicates it away, then it'll fall back to a morph with the same ID from a different package.
