The following section has been updated in our policies:

Content Depicting Real Persons

You may not:
  • Place any real person's name in your title, tagline, tags, description, filename, media, or post. This includes altered spellings, plays-on-words, phonetic substitutions, or any other variation intended to evoke a real person's name.
  • Include identifying details about a real person in your content or its presentation — such as their profession, roles or appearances, age, location, or biographical information — whether or not the person is named.
  • Use tags, keywords, or labels that imply the content depicts a real person or a category of real persons (for example, tags referencing celebrity status, entertainment media, or social platforms).
  • Make requests for real persons to be depicted in any content.
  • These rules are evaluated based on the overall impression created by a post, not any single element in isolation.
If the combined effect of a resource's name, tags, description, media, or other details would lead a reasonable viewer to conclude the content is intended to depict a specific real person, the resource will be rejected, at the moderation team's sole discretion.

Deliberate attempts to work around these rules will be treated as violations of them.

What has changed

We have added language that prohibits things like:
- adding tags like "actress", "celebrity", "movie star", or "influencer"
- describing a look or scene like "that person that played the character X in that TV show"
- naming a look or scene with a name that "sounds like" a real person's name
