Hi! Is there such a plugin or tool? Its function is to combine several scenes into one. For example, take a complete character from one scene, take an asset from another, take the necessary animation from the third, take light presets from the fourth, and so on . And combine all these parts in one scene. Thank you.

Presets and subscenes target some aspects but you don't have one that cherry picks things from scenes and adds them into one in a workable fashion.

Imagine you take a person atom animated with Timeline, and on that animation there are triggers for a button somewhere. If you didn't take that button as well that trigger would not work anymore. And that person would have animations for coordinates that may be completely off for an environment you picked from another scene, etc. There are too many factors involved to automagically create a good working scene from other scenes parts without needing to edit anything.

Now, if you're okay with taking some time to put together things from several scenes, then you can repurpose material for sure. This all depends on what it is, how it's made, you need to figure out if it's doable and worthwhile or will just be a nightmare to do. Presets are very handy for clothing, appearances, plugins, etc., and subscenes can export atoms and import them into a new scene rather well. Then you need to put them all together and make adjustments.

I have a template for scene making you may want to try, M-F template. The goal there is to take the existing animations and button subscenes and:
  • add an environment
  • add sounds for ambience
  • whatever else you want
Follow the instructions on how to move the people and actions to appropriate places in a new environment. This is easier for an intermediate level of VAM user who already knows a little about Timeline and Subscenes, but I think it's also suitable for someone who's getting started with these tools. Give it a try if you want.
