I have generated a fluid sim animation in c4d and wish to import it into vam. I understand it wont be interactive or dynamic. Does anyone know if animated obj meshes can be imported in?

Hi, there is a plugin called BVHPlayer, that plays BVH animations, which is a somewhat common animation file formate. If you are able to convert your animation, then you can use this on the VaM (Genesis 2) figures.
To answer your (second) question: Yes, you can import animated OBJ meshes to vam, if you use Unity. There are VaM tutorials how to create custom Unity assets (CUA). To find out if you are able to use your special animation in Unity, please search for how to import animation files into Unity and add your animation file format. These animated objects can be used as somewhat static assets, but not as main figures. Once you have the mesh with a working animation in Unity, the export/import process for VaM is the same as for static CUAs.
