I read the wiki concerning the hand control tab and apparently, JSON parameters could help with posing fingers better than with the morphs. Now I tried to use the JSON parameters by opening a scene .json file and tweaked the fingers rotation and position. After saving the changes made, I loaded the modified scene but I couldn't see any visual changes to the fingers.

I'm currently working on a plugin to handle this : )

You don't have any means, at the moment, to handle finger through the JSONParams mode.
You'll have to wait for my plugin to come out.

Its much easier to use Timeline plugin for that.
Add Timeline to your character, and use "add fingers" and you will have full control over all JSON parameters

That exactly what timeline does yes : )

But having timeline just for finger poses is quite annoying.
