Model Gallery - Look review scene with VR passthrough, dancing, custom poses and more

BACKSTORY
This scene started as the demo environment for Groundhog Girls (GHG) Looks but I've been adding several features, making it my personal goto VR scene for checking out new looks and it really became my testing board for experimenting with VAM.

Interesting (to me) features:
  • Gaze strength during animations - Pretty cool. Adds a personal touch to any animation.
  • Multiple removable outfits...

Hmmm... not working for me.

As you can see, I have all the deps required but I don't get any menus. There is a blue capsule off to the right but that's it.

Additionally, she's wearing all the clothes which some deteriorate and fall off her body upon scene load, that doesn't seem right either.

The 2 reviews indicate that it works for them so it's peculiar that it doesn't work for me.

My VaM is a recent install of 1.22.0.6 and then updated to 1.22.0.7

Maybe this scene isn't compatible with the current VaM version?
or
Maybe this scene doesn't work with Virtual Desktop however running it in VaM Desktop mode gives the same results I described.

Any ideas of why this may not be working?

Hmm. I built it in an older version but did final checks and var creation in 1.22.0.7. Then I created a completely clean install (1.22.0.7) and had it find dependencies to make sure there wasn't anything hidden and it worked without any errors.

The blue capsule is the grab point for the main menu. There are 4 empty atoms just above that capture that should show the Looks,Anim,Clothes,&Misc menus but something is preventing them from executing. This lack of menus and the fact that she is wearing all the clothes indicates there's an issue with the VAM Story plugin. VAM Story has a "run at startup" trigger that should remove most of the clothes. BTW, the reason she's wearing everything to start is because that's how I kept the AllowDetach links intact so it is a kludgy workaround. But it does point to the problem. Are you getting any error or warning messages (Main UI -> Message Log / Error Log) that might point to the issue? Specifically related to VAM Story?

I forgot to add a third option of what may be wrong, USER ERROR. 😅

Totally my fault, I should have looked at the Error Log first. Yep, just as you said, VAM Story, I had it set to 'always disable'. 🫠

Can confirm it works as intended, in both Desktop and VR. 🥳

Thank you for your patience and for tolerating my blunder.

Good deal. Glad it you got it working.

Nice first version. I think high heels are broken for the default pose. The selection of default girls could be more racially diverse (e.g. African/Asian/Native American). Maybe a button to test forces on breasts. It could become a serious character creator.

Good feedback. By a button to test forces do you mean to trigger the Naturalis calibrate? I thought about that but opted for triggering it automatically on any appearance load. I made a real effort to minimize buttons and that one didn't make the cut. Are you seeing a case in which it needs to be triggered and isn't? And you're right there's not a ton of diversity. I'll work on that.

I meant a button to make the character jump or apply a shake to test the boob physics while animating. Something like that. I didn't try the dance animations, so nevermind. That would serve the same purpose. You're right to not have too many buttons.
