Question Loading appearance in scene screws up the animation, any fix?

Whenever I load a preset to change the characters appearance the actions in the animation will get misaligned. other than a built in reset button in the scene is their any way to fix this?

Usually missalignment happens if the model you replaced differs in scale/body proportion from the orginal model too much. More info about the scene and model you try to replace could help. Typlically a solution could be to offset the root node of the person a bit. But generally spoken animations are not able to "adapt" new proportions.

You just click on the root node of the person (the green mannequin icon) and move the gizmo around until it fits
