I noticed there is the Video Renderer plugin, but the core VR Feature is 6DoF. Is it possible to convert the movies to this format?

Well, that's what a vam scene is. An animated scene rendered in 3D with 6 degrees of freedom.

Any "movie" would really have to be the same type of viewer. Something that contains all the 3d model information, and renders from the chosen position.

The other option would be to render a movie of the scene from every single location in the 3d game space. For a 3x3 meter game space, with a video recorded 5 cm apart, that would be 60x60x60 = 216,000 individual movies. Then as you moved around in the scene, you could display the relevant frame from the movie rendered in that location. But with only 5cm resolution, moving around isn't going to be very smooth at all.

This just isn't feasible.

Far better to render the scene as you move around the space. Like Vam does.

So if you want to show people a 6 DoF movie, put them in Vam and play then a scene.
