Introducing VaM Archive

Over the years, the VaMHub community has produced an incredible wealth of content — environments, assets, accessories, clothing, scenes, and more — that has shaped the Virt-a-Mate experience for thousands of players.
Much of this content has been created by talented contributors who have since moved on, taken breaks, or shifted their focus elsewhere.
When a creator leaves, their content sometimes disappears with them — and that's a loss for everyone who depended on it, built scenes around it, or simply loved having it available.
We also want to acknowledge that not every departure is voluntary, and to make it clear we recognize that a creator's content and a creator's behavior are two separate things.
Where content was created in good faith and released under a free license, we believe the creator's work — and their legacy — deserves to outlive whatever circumstances led to their departure.
With all of this in mind, we are launching @VaMArchive , a staff-managed account dedicated to preserving free, community-created content that would otherwise become unavailable.
Our goal is simple: to ensure that legitimate, freely licensed content remains accessible to the community for as long as possible.
How it works:

A few things worth making explicit:
We have a substantial backlog of resources that we are working through manually — each one needs to be verified before it can be added to the archive, and that takes time.
New content will be added on a rolling basis as we work through the queue, so we encourage you to follow @VaMArchive and check back periodically to see what's been added.

- Content hosted on VaM Archive consists of resources that were previously published under Creative Commons or similarly open licenses, but have been unpublished or deleted by creators who are either no longer active on the Hub or who have given consent for their content to be preserved.
- Original creators are always credited where attribution is required, unless they have specifically requested otherwise.
- If you are planning to step away from the Hub and would like your content to be preserved for the community, we can transfer your resources to VaM Archive, remove your personal information if you prefer to remain anonymous, and ensure everything is properly maintained. Just open a support ticket and we will work with you directly.
How we decide what to archive:
Content is only considered for preservation if it meets all of the following:
- It was originally published under a Creative Commons or similarly open license.
- It does not violate VaMHub's content policies.
- The original creator is no longer active — meaning their account has been deleted or deactivated, they have been removed from the community (with the content itself remaining policy-compliant), or they have been absent from the Hub for a period of months and have unpublished or abandoned their content with no stated intention to return. Creators can also give explicit consent regardless of activity status.
A few things worth making explicit:
- VaMHub does not claim ownership of any content on VaM Archive. We are exercising redistribution rights already granted by the original license.
- This does not affect paid content, content published under restrictive licenses, or content that was never publicly released.
- If you have questions or concerns about content of yours that has been archived, please open a support ticket and we will work with you to address them.
- If you see content in the archive that you believe violates our policies or shouldn't be there, please report it the same way you would any other resource on the Hub.
We have a substantial backlog of resources that we are working through manually — each one needs to be verified before it can be added to the archive, and that takes time.
New content will be added on a rolling basis as we work through the queue, so we encourage you to follow @VaMArchive and check back periodically to see what's been added.
