in VR on oculus quest 2 how do I move my viewpoint vertically along the Z axis? right joystick is rotate and left is move horizontally.

I know I can dive into a menu and adjust my height upwards that way, but these forums seem to mention some way to toggle an option to allow one of the hand controller thingies to control vertical movement of the viewpoint? but the option either doesn't exist anymore? or it's been re-arranged (I can't find it myself.)

Edit: While I'm asking, I don't fully comprehend the difference between grab and remote grab. It seems to me that the grip trigger when held down grabs, and the finger trigger when tapped toggles auto-grab on/off? is this correct? (doesn't seem like what I'd imagine a remote grab button would do.)
