Make sure the Updater (and VaM) has write permission in that folder. Maybe you setup the folder to require admin rights or something?
Otherwise I would recommend to delete the folder and redownload everything, including the updater.exe. Make sure to use the one from the official Patreon site, not from some shady source.

Admin rights aren't needed nor can you give it. I tried to reinstall the broken file itself but ill try it with the whole streaming asset thing
