I baked some lightmaps in unity, and exported them along with the prefabs and other materials in a assetbundle.
but when I loaded the asset in VAM, nothing happens, no lightmaps. Textures and materials are all looking normal.

If the steps you took when packaging the assetbundle and loading it in VAM are correct, as far as I know, having a reflection probe in the assetbundle will damage the lighting map, and I am currently not sure what the reason is

If your scene is already set to static in Unity, you will notice this issue when you open it in VAM and try to move the customUnityAsset atom. At first, I thought the lights in Unity were the culprit, but no matter how I adjust the lights and materials, it won't help, even if I delete the baked lights
