VaM 1.x How to hide the purple sphere of person:control?

In some scenes, there is a visible purple sphere that appears connected to person:control, which is visible even in Play mode. Where is the configuration that can hide it?

No worries, enable "Only Show Targets and Overlays When Menu Open" in User Preferences - Misc works. Thank you nevertheless!
