Hey everyone. I managed to get DLSS 5 working in VAM by just dragging some files and adjusting some things in ReShade. It really wasn't too hard and the outcome is pretty outstanding. I don't know much outside of the scope of this whole ordeal as me figuring this out was just from watching a few videos of people injecting DLSS 5 into other games and emulators and I just took that information I gathered and used it for VAM.
First things first I would make a backup of the core files for VAM or at the very least remember what files your are going to be adding to your VAM install so that if anything happens you can simply remove them.
Step 1: Install ReShade. When asked for the .exe, point it towards VAM.exe and select the DirectX 10/11/12 option. Leave everything default when installing. Open VAM.exe and verify that ReShade is working then close VAM.exe
Step 2: Open the link provided in the post and download the ZIP named "DLSS 5 for VAM" In the ZIP, drag all of those files into the location of where VAM.exe is located.
Step 3: Launch VAM. Pressing the decimal point on the numpad of your keyboard(if you have one) will turn on and off DLSS5. You can change this keybind to whatever you want in the ReShade settings.
Currently it is doing 2 neural passes and can be adjusted in the ReShade popup called "Deep Fried Chicken" You will see a slider that is labeled 'Neural Passes' In that same popup, you can also change the style and intensity of DLSS 5 by messing with things in the 'Pass Controls' drop down. Play around with it and see what you like!
If any errors occur or it just doesn't work I really am not much help as I said at the beginning I kind of just dragged some files into the directory of VAM. I might also add I am running an 5090 for my GPU. Hopefully it all works for you guys and hope you have fun with it!
