As many of users know running VAM causes Steam VR for fire up and run. This process is not needed and takes quite a bit of FPS.

There is a good guide created a while ago on this which basically says create bat file and put the following line there:

" path to virtual desktop streamer" " path to VAM.exe"

This approach worked for a long time but for some reason stopped working.

After some research I found another way to bypass steamVR which I tested and works. However it seems I do not have the privileges to create a guide.
Is there is solution for this. I just want to share this helpful info with other users.

My bat file works just fine. Perhaps it only applies to Meta headsets?

A guide is just like any resource, everyone with a account has permissions to make one in Resources.

Thanks for the info for the guide.

You are probably right. I think the latest Virtual Desktop update is causing this.

I am using Quest 3 Headset.. So are you saying you dont see SteaM POPUP? Are you using remote desktop?

You're replying to yourself. Should I consider the question to be for me?
If so, I don't have a Quest 3, I have a Pico 4, and I use Virtual Desktop.
