VaM 1.x Downloaded looks help!

Heyyy! Im new here, and ive been searching a while. But ive downloaded some looks that pop up as blank files in game. If I use one from the hub, say, The Crawler (you know the one) I can just click it and change my fem model into the crawler at will. However, I installed a couple mods, including one of an Assaultron. I looked this up, and it said to put the var files into add-ons. Despite me doing this, when I click them using the interface the model doesnt change. As I said previously, this works with characters that have their own scenes. Such as Ballora, Chica, The Crawler, Korra, etc. Any idea what im doing wrong? Thank you!

Some looks do not come with an appearance preset. You have to open the sample scene from the var, and save your own appearance preset to use that model in your own scene.
