Hi
I just saw that some .var files that doesn't show up in browser assist, (and they are present in the AddonPackages directory), and by the way, there are many .disabled files, maybe it is the main cause of my problem ?

I tried to clean my vam installation and erased all the .disabled files from the AddonPackages directory, but the .disabled files just reappear at first Vam launch...

how can i get rid of those files and is there a reason some .var files don't show in the browser assist ?

thanks in advance for your help

Support questions about the workings of a plugin should be asked in the plugin's discussion area.

ok, excuse me for this, i'm going to ask in the right section

It's not that you can't, but doing so in the plugin's discussion area will make it more visible to the creator and others using the plugin, probably helping you get an answer more quickly and others with similar questions will see them too.

.disabled , Yes, that's right VAM does not read DISABLED files.
.var, Yes, VAM does read these files. Try to make sure it's only one level or first directory to be read by vam, also some OLD var(s) files can't be read by vam and need to be updated.

First, thanks for the replys.
I've finally found the solutions to my two "problems :
- the .disabled files were generated by the browserassist plugin, as i activated the "var management" option,
- and the var that weren't appearing were just character vars that I was searching in scene vars....

thanks for your help, and I'll try to post in the right section next time
