Hi!

Still quite new to VR in general, new to VAM, sorry if the questions are answered elsewhere.

Now I would have 3 questions, hope someone can enlighten me.

1.
I have the quest 2, standard controllers and I'd like to set the controls to have free move also on the right right controller, like when the right stick is 'free turn/up/down', but press and hold i.e. the grip butten and then move the right stick to have the 'free move'.

I already found this:
Customizing SteamVR Controller Bindings

But that's for SteamVR, which often makes problems, I start VaM on the AirLink, then through the Meta-App.

So my question is if I can customize the controller somehow when not working with SteamVR?

2.
The startscreen, scene browser and such are starting up high, so I have to look up, can these screens be centered?

3.
I have a very old 3dsmax 3d-model, a building.
Could I import this into VaM?
Maybe a converter needed?

Really nobody? :-(

I even tried it with SteamVR now, but not a chance, it doesn't show VaM in the Controller Bindings, VaM is running in VR, steam (not logged in) doesn't show it, when logged in into steam it doesn't show up as well, only that the PC stutters all over (mouse movement, fans running like hell) everything, that's what I've meant with that steam makes problems often.

In VaM, when I try "open controller bindings on desktop" that page is not there, not found.

I've tested forth and back, starting VaM from the Updater in VR mode, SteamVR started from the headset, from PC, logged in, logged out, SteamVR as OpenXR runtime environment on/off, connected via air link and usb, there is no way that VaM shows up in the SteamVR settings.

What a sad, sad story.
Such great potential, what feels like a million settings, countless plugins and what not, but then it's missing such a simple thing as controller setup/configuration?
That cannot be?
It's like you build a Ferrari and forget the steering wheel?

I would have loved to dive into this, but it doesn't make any sense at all that way.

Again: Really? I am the only one with this problem? I cannot believe this, a pool without water, billiard without a cue, a palace without entrance?
