CPU question for VAM

Since VAM relies heavily on single core performance, should I prioritise getting a CPU with the best single core performance or would this be irrelevant if the performance patch was implemented?

To make my question clear, would a i3-14100f perform better than an older X3D AMD CPU? Since it maybe has better single core performance than a AMD 7 5800X3D (maybe if it's a i5 idrk) VAM would run better in theory. My question is if I want 60 frames on desktop mode with two characters on high settings with the performance patch and simple optimisations, will VAM run better with a CPU with better single core performance even with the performance patch?

You should prioritize a CPU you can use for your average use. Not VAM specifically.

Also, no matter what CPU you will get, at the same "tier/budget" you won't have like a 50% difference making it worth (or not) going Intel or AMD. To be clearer, let's say you have a 500 bucks budget, the difference is gonna be so thin that it's not really relevant.

If you have a CPU which is at most 3yo (to current gens) and a 3070 at least and above. You will get far beyond 60 fps on desktop at two chars. The problem as always been the diminish returns at more than 2.
